Bringing dignity to Families-

The FreeStore was founded in 2001 as an outreach of St. Timothy’ Episcopal Church.  In 2005 we became an independent 501c3 charity. The FreeStore provides household items and furniture free of charge to women who are referred by Iowa domestic violence services.  We also provide these same items to needy families from other social agencies for a nominal fee.

In October we will CELEBRATE this 10 year milestone and honor the volunteers who make these services happen for the over 2200 families we served.

The FreeStore is entirely run by volunteers, with NO paid staff.  Volunteers are always needed to pick-up furniture, organize items in the warehouse, greet clients, help clients move furniture to their new apartments, and raise funds.

The FreeStore depends on your generosity to continue its work.  Ninety-five percent of your donation goes directly to support families in need.  To donate send contributions to FreeStore, 1020 24th St., West De Moines, IA 50266 or use the PayPal ap in this page.
